It is Sunday....Time for some Reflections & Some Funnies!

By
Industry Observer DRE# ER40011786

This past week sailed by with so much to do.   I have been working for months on purging this house, and there is still too much here.   I did turn off Marketplace for now, just don't need the distraction.  PLUS with listing my house, needed some of my furniture to stage.   Even though the stager wants to bring in all her stuff that is gray!   I took some of her advice.

I need to take lots of boxes of shredding to a shred event this week, finish touching up some paint, wash some exterior windows and keep sifting through things.

I have a week, the cleaners will be here for some deep cleaning, then photos will be done on Tuesday, 2/12.  Going on the market 2/13.  I know it is President's weekend, and Valentine's Day, but this is the timing.

For those who have asked, my plane ticket is for 5/12 flying to Portugal.    My VISA could get here before that, but already have the ticket with two seats together for the kitties, so pretty sure I won't be able to move it.

No Football today, so here are some funnies to brighten up your day:

I think a few of us can agree on this one!

I still have a Dyson, so no smart vac for me!

LOL, hope you laughed, grinned or at least chuckled.   Enjoy your Sunday!

Good morning Joan. Sounds like your timeline for Portugal is going well as you continue to prepare for lift off. Most of what others call injuries I've concluded is the away I am now. And my Dyson is working well. Enjoy your day.

Hello Joan - all relatable but the insight from the vacuum cleaner is particularly relevant.  Indeed, it's always something.  Good luck. . .

Hi Joan,
What a task it is to move, but moving to another country is a whole 'nother matter. I know it's been in the works a long time.

Did you know Bugs Bunny was "born" July 27, 1940? That makes him 85 years old. No wonder he has aches and pains.

What a full and meaningful season you are in. Purging, staging, preparing to list, and planning a big life change all at once is no small task. You are handling it with clarity, humor, and intention. The timing is the timing, and it sounds well thought out. Thank you for sharing the funnies too. A little laughter goes a long way on a busy Sunday.

Well Joan you hit the nail on the head.  My OLDOMETER is still ticking, but the pace is slowing down.  I have to blame a lot of it on this very cold, snow filled winter.  Now I need a wrist brace and knee brace from shoveling too much snow. I hope the groundhog sleeps in tomorrow 😴, I can't take 6 more weeks of this. Bring on the Easter 🐣 Bunny 🐰.

Berni Kerr be very careful with that shoveling, it isn't good for some of us!  I agree, bring on the Easter Bunny.

Joan Cox, Retired Broker/Owner - I have no doubt you're going to get it all together and get your house sold for a good price too. FYI... the BEST sale I had was during my humble beginnings in real estate. I had a client who was in a hurry to buy but didn't have much time. I went to preview properties on Superbowl Sunday. I came upon a house which I scheduled and there was a note on the door, don't ring or knock, just come in! So, I did. There were a bunch of guys sitting around the big screen hooppering and a hollering about football. The owner said just go ahead, take your time, take pictures, have something to eat, and bring me a buyer.

The next day, I brought my buyer and she loved the house! The owner was home and said, to me.... wait! Aren't you the lady who came walking around to see my house yesterday during my Superbowl party? I said, yes, and I listened to you, here's my buyer - she wants to buy your house.

Well, we got busy and I sold his house. My buyer and the seller were happier than a football stadium!!!
