A Warm and Welcoming Story with a Ha Ha
Since Michael Jacobs says it's an obligation for me to reblog a post I have been mentioned in, this seems like a good one to reblog, haha. Leanne Smith become a dear friend, and I encourage you to follow her in the Rain, and perhaps meet in person! She possesses a lot of knowledge, and you will learn a lot from her, not just with regard to her area, but in real estate in general.
My story with Active Rain and this Ha Ha member began upon the recommendation of my then Dirt Road Real Estate broker Judith Ritter. I joined Active Rain in 2018. Shortly thereafter, Brian England extended a warm and welcoming hand along with his infamous "Ha Ha" signature.
Later when I learned of all the Meet Ups held by Active Rain members, I reached out to Brian. He graciously offered to set up a meet up with other Active Rain Members within the Phoenix Area.
On July 11, 2022, I traveled the 3 hours plus from Mohave County, Golden Valley, AZ and met other involved Active Rain Members including Steffy Hristova , Jan Green - Scottsdale, AZ , and Jeff Masich-Scottsdale AZ Associate Broker,MBA,GRI. The lunch was enjoyable however getting to meet everyone in person was even better.Since then I even had the opportunity to have dinner with Brian and Jan along as well as lunch with Brian and his partner.
Why I appreciate Brian is his authentic caring attitude coupled with his faith. Brian demonstrates what it means to be a professional real estate agent who is not shy at all about sharing his faith. His postings about local events and resources such as Catholic Charities are numerous. Then add his other non-real state photos and one gets a true sense of Brian.
Brian is always willing to connect with others. From that initial lunch meeting I meet Steffy who was part of a four (4) person referral listing sales lead. That sales referral led to the quickest interest in a property I have ever had. Within one hour after posting the for sale sign on this vacant parcel I had 3 offers.
Brian with all of his "Ha Ha’s" does not expect anything in return. He is one of the most authentic, gracious and giving individuals I have come to know of the many and gracious individuals here on Active Rain. When I think of Brian I am reminded of the President Teddy Roosevelt:
“No one cars how much you know until they know how much you care.”
This story does not end. I hope to travel to the Phoenix area this year, preferably when it is cooler, to reconnect with these ACTIVE Rain Members and maybe Mr. "Ha Ha" will find a few new faces will join the Meet-Up.
My thanks to Patricia Feager and Lew Corcoran for hosting this month's Active Rain Challenge.
P.S. Please consider checking out my Facebook business page, The Grit and Gratitude Agent that will focus on the Dirt Roads in Mohave County as well local real estate, lots of dirt or vacant land parcels as some of the local attractions.
