This month Patricia Feager and Lew Corcoran are challenging Active Rain members to share their appreciation of other members. They listed these questions or criteria:
Does the AR Member inspire you? – Yes
Does the AR Member help you? – Yes
Does the AR Member exude positivity? – A Big Whopping Yes
Is the AR Member kind, generous and courteous? Yes, Absolutely
Does the AR Member leave positive feedback? – Yes, all the times
Has the AR Member done something extraordinary – Yes
So you may be curious as to who this AR member is with the ever present infectious smile and laugh? Drum roll… Carol Williams of course as the feature photo shows.
My first in person interaction with Carol was in June of 2022 when we had lunch here at the Cracker Barrel in Kingman, AZ. The feature photo is from that first meeting. If memory serves me correctly, Carol initiated the outreach as she was traveling to her winter retreat in Yuma from her home in Washington. During our brief time together over lunch, I felt that I had known Carol for years and not just for months.
Then on November 11, 2024 we broke evening bread with another REALTOR® here in Kingman, Brenda Curwick. I believe Carol and myself coordinated this together. Again, because of Carol this seemed like 3 old friends getting together. Laughs were exchanged along with a few bits of real estate nuggets.
What I love and admire about Carol is her giving attitude along with her great laugh. Her real estate knowledge is extensive as is her ability to support other AR members.
Carol also regularly attends the Tuesday Zoom meetings. She often sits quietly and responds when she can contribute. Her active listening skills are indeed to be admired.
I have had the opportunity to host a couple of AR challenges and the last one Carol co-hosted with me. Hosting these challenges connects one to other AR members. I recommend if you have not hosted a monthly challenge reach out to Carol or Debe Maxwell, CRS.
Carol does have an open invitation to stay at our “66 Guest Room” whenever she is in the neighborhood in her travels back and forth from her home in Washington state to Yuma. My thanks to Carol who I am able to call my friend and looking forward to our next encounter.
Thank you Carol for your friendship.
