“A tribe is not defined by geography, but by the bonds that hold it together.”
Did you know...
The Navajo Nation is the largest Native American tribe in the United States, with nearly 400,000 members and a land base of about 25,000 square miles across Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah.
That number caught my attention, and I got curious about how that compared to our ActiveRain Tribe.
ActiveRain currently has 309,250 members (as of Friday, 5/58/2026 when I compiled this post). It is slightly larger now.
That means our online real estate “tribe” is nearly as large as the largest Native American nation in the United States.
The Navajo Nation is bound by land, language, culture, and history. We at ActiveRain are bound by something different. A shared profession. Shared challenges. Shared knowledge and shared encouragement.
Membership numbers are impressive. Engagement is what makes it powerful.
Over 309,000 members. That is not just a website. That is a nation-sized community. Now, if we could just get more people to actively engage and enjoy the full value of ActiveRain.
Note: This post was scheduled before the June Challenge, hosted by Debe Maxwell, CRS and Lew Corcoran was revealed.
