Friday Flags: The Snow Will Never Cover the Flag

The scene was just too clean to not stop.

The frozen pond, the blanket of white almost 2 feet deep, and the solitary pole with the flag flying clear against the blue sky.

It was just a simple way to bring a little warmth to a cold February Day in Prospect CT

Hmm, you bring up an interesting point since I have never seen snow resting on a flag, haha.  It might make for a really cool photo if there were some snow on the flag, though.

Whoa, that just sent shivers down my spine Ed Silva, 203-206-0754 and I was thinking more along the lines of photos that Trish takes with an icicle hanging down looking beautiful, haha.

Our winds have been so strong my neighbor across the street, a veteran had his flag pole tear off the house. In fact the two neighbors flags were blowing opposite ways due to the effect of the wind blowing between the houses.

It is a blustery wind and can cause the damage. Fortunately it wasn't blowing while the snow was falling Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543

Hi Ed:

Happy Flag Friday and thank you for this beautiful photo. The flag really stands out against that background and adds so much color. I'm sure happy I am just looking at snow in a photo. I lived in New England for many years and still don't miss the snow.

Enjoy your weekend!

Jeff

Ed Silva, 203-206-0754 - there is something mystical about a flag that knows when someone stops and takes notice. Patriotic pride is so genuine, and nature moves the wind in mysterious ways. I love your captures of the American Flag.
