Starting my Sunday morning out with Buttermilk Pancakes!
I think it is a good morning to make some Buttermilk Pancakes and sausage links with hash browns.
Here is my Buttermilk Pancake recipe from my parents restaurant that I would make lots of every Sunday morning.
Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoon white sugar
3 teaspoons baking power
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
3/4 teaspoons salt
3 cups buttermilk
1/2 cup milk
3 eggs
1/3 cup butter, melted
1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar baking powder, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, beat together buttermilk, milk, eggs and melted butter. Keep the two mixtures separate until you are ready to cook.
2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle to medium high. I would always flick water across the surface and if it beats up and sizzles it is ready.
3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and blend together with a fork. Do not over stir the batter . Pour the batter onto the griddle using 1/2 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
