Critiucal Steps in AI Agent Integration & This IS an Important Tool

A few years ago, I always cautioned about the use (misuse) of AI Agents. They were launched but early adopters were essentially beta testers without knowing this!!  AI Agents always had the potential as useful tools. However, they were not ready yet (as a few years ago).

I frequently mention that AI is advancing and advancing quickly and AI Agents are now ready for prime time and they can be a useful tool.   The better options are  difficult to distinguish from real human agents. One ofmy staff membersbelieved he spoke with a real human on a recent call. I reviewed the site and noticed that they were AI agents. The point is they have evolved (or rather, we humans have improved them).

The most important step in AI Agent implementation is to provide human oversight..,always. Look for comments from real estate  comments (both good and bad comments) and hav appropriate staff members test the AI Agents and review whatever tasks the agents are performing.

This involves determining the goals of the AI Agents and review to oversee whether these goals are being met.  Also, realize that once you begin utilizing AI Agents, it is likely that you expand their use. Accordingly, the level and amount of review needs to be updated as well.

Also, it is essential to have the oversight person or team to dertermine who and when a staff member will authorize new tasks or changes to existing tasks.

There could be something to this AI thing, but we have to remember it makes a terrible master .

This is a balanced and practical perspective on AI agent adoption. Early caution was well placed, and your point about early users unknowingly serving as beta testers is an important reminder.

The emphasis on human oversight is critical. AI agents can now perform convincingly, but effectiveness and risk management still depend on clear goals, structured testing, and ongoing review. As capabilities expand, governance must expand with them. Treating AI as a tool that requires supervision rather than a replacement for judgment is the approach that leads to real value rather than unintended consequences.

Good morning Paddy. I follow your posts and learn much from them. Thanks. Being retired I have been slow to dip my toe into the waters of AI. That said I have recently dipped my toe into the water and need to start wading in further. Enjoy your day.

It will be interesting to see how this progresses. I think good agents will maximize the possibilities.
