Toronto Condo Rental
The Toronto rental market has been slow in recent years, in fact the slow down began during the pandemic when people starting working from home.
Many young people utilized their parents’ basements rather than pay the high rents in the Downtown core of the city.
Now that the provincial government is requiring its employees to comeback and work in the office rather than from home, it is hoped that there will be an uptick in the rental market.
My colleague and I co-listed a two-bedroom unit in a condominium building on Yonge Street, in early February 2026 and within a few days we had an offer which was not accepted. Following this, there were several showings but no offers ……..
Then an agent called me to say he had showed the unit to his clients and they wanted to bring an offer but there were a couple of hitches ……. We talked, we found possible solutions, we negotiated ……. this went on back and forth and finally did arrive at a agreement ….. and the final stages are in progress.
