Most of us enjoy travel...until we don't. It seems that every year, travel becomes more complicated. This issue reached insane levels during the pandemic. Today, some things are better and most are more challenging.
One thing that has alway been annoying is "Priority" tags on baggage. US airlines never prioritize priority bags. Last night, my priority bahs were the second to lst to come off of the belt!!! I have observed that priority bags seem to come AFTERthe other bags.
In Europe, I have observed baggage handlers pull the priority bags and load them last, so that they arrive in the baggage area first. This is the way it is supposed to be!! The EU established new border patrol that are supposed to expedite entry and exit into EU countries for non EU residents. Yes, but it actually takes longer!!!! Supposedly, when you register, have your photo and fingerprints taken, EU border agents will no longer request your passport or stamp it!!! Guess again, noiw they go through the electronic BS AND go through the electronic one!!!
I received an email that Glogal Entry and Clear would not be operating due to the on-goping insance government shutdown over funding that has already been approved.
Great!! Alas, I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival at O'Hare. The border agents made a temporary solution and it was efficient and well executed.
So not everything is complicated with travel!!
