For my last entry for the February 2026 - AR Member Appreciation Month the person I want to show great appreciation for is someone I respect from Texas. Her name is Dorie.
Rather than tag her just Dorie Dillard Austin TX, I like to think of her as Her Graciousness. Not long ago, back towards the end of 2025, Dorie announced she has cancer. Like others on AR, I was sad. I didn't want to believe it. But the person who had the most courage of all, was Dorie. She chose faith over fear, gratitude over panic, and trust over worry.
Throughout her journey, she kept an upper chin and believed in hope. She did not ask for pity - she was simply gracious and very dedicated to focus on her health while listening to her Medical Team. As far as her personal life and business were concerned, she knew that her loving daughter Melissa was capable of overseeing her responsibilities. Love between a mother and a daughter is a beautiful gift. They both had courage.
I am a faith driven woman. The Holy Spirit knew what she needed. Thank God, she is over the 66 treatments and currently doing great. I shall continue to keep her in my prayers. It makes me happy to know, Dorie continues to have the strong support of those she loves and needed when she needed more than what she wanted to ask for, and Kathy Streib was there in her hours of need.
These two women always lead by example of graciousness and loving support. When Dorie showed up for Zoom, I nearly fell out of my chair. Vicariously, I did! I was hugging her! This strong woman was breathing naturally, as if she knew all along, "I've got this," I am worry free.

It takes a graceful person who knows and understand the meaning of grace, courtesy, compassion, passion, and respect. For this reason, Dorie is the person I chose for my final entry for the February Challenge. Someone once said, "People may not remember what you did or said, but they'll always remember how you made them feel."
Thank you, Dorie. You are the reason for my inspiration. For this Challenge you showed us all the true definition of Courage.
