I always enjoy participating in the monthly #ActiveRainChallenge. I am grateful that Lew Corcoran and Patricia Feager are hosting this month's challenge.

When I think about taking a wrong turn, but ending up in a better place, God immediately comes to my mind. So often, I so badly want to go one direction, but it turns out to be the wrong path. I am always a bit frustrated and upset when things don't go my way in life, but when I look back on how things actually went and where I ended up, it's then that I realize that God likely had a strong hand in forcing me in a different direction than I wanted to go, haha. It gives me a chuckle because I am always reminded that God's way is always better than my way, haha.

When I think of a physical place to talk about for this challenge, the hikes that I have taken in the past come to the front of my mind. Even when I hike the same area that I have hiked previously, it always seems a bit different from the time before, perhaps because I take different paths, or some of the scenery has changed. Being out in nature reminds me of how much beauty God has provided us in this world, and I am always at peace when I am out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by the beauty that God created and changes on a daily basis.

In choosing photos for this post, I had so many wonderful photos from my hikes to choose from, but I chose the three that I did because I always love it when water is in the scene, and of course, the mountains are always part of the hikes, haha. I love shooting into the sun for photos because the rays from the sun always give me the feeling of God's presence near me. Speaking of God's presence, the feature photo is of my angel that I keep in my bedroom to always look after me.
