Present The Best

Well, I am not a guinea pig or Popeye and I would not eat the spinach even if it were perfectly fresh. 😐

What do we offer our clients? Is it always the best we've got to offer?

Did we do our homework for our Buyer/Seller or did we just start looking on line after/during the appointment? Do we look our best or did we "just throw this on this morning"? If we are going to chaperone our clients did we wash and vaccum the vehicle?

With all the students here on Active Rain I need to ask the obvious question, are we meeting our fiduciary obligations with every interaction with our clients?

Do you enjoy the cartoons written by my son (Timmothy N. Timm) which I use as a springboard to write my daily posts? His strip, Titus & Philemon, has run in two newspapers for years as well as being printed in my blog every day. Titus & Philemon (pronounced Phi - Lee -Man) are guinea pigs. Their owner is Joe. Timmothy has never repeated a joke/comic strip in the 12 years he has been writing it. He has never copied another strip, such as Peanuts or Garfield. You can follow Timmothy on FB as Titus & Philemon and you can also check him out on Instagram as Instagram.com/titus and philemon/ .For Timmothy's website type timmtimmothy.com into your browser. I tried to put it in a link here but it refuses to work. Do NOT put anything in front of timmtimmothy.com or it will not work.

Good morning Bob. Been off the Rain grid for some time and just getting back. Great post for a wake-up call applicable too many. Pondering material over a cup of coffee. Thanks! Enjoy your day.

I don't like eating mushy leaves either, so I can relate to them, haha.  I ate a lot of spinach during my salad days.  Thank God those days are gone, and now I eat steak, haha.

Good morning, Bob... it always comes down to putting one's best foot forward in all aspects of life. Now tell me, which is the most important fiduciary duty? 😉

I am a firm believer of eating leafy greens for the iron and nutrients they provide. But, I won't eat the mushy ones either. as the presentation and in real estate, professionalism comes from looking the part and not just acting at it.

Bob, a good reminder that professionalism shows in the small details. Preparation, presentation, and doing the homework before meeting a client are all part of fulfilling our fiduciary responsibility.

Clients rely on us to bring our best effort every time, whether that means staying up to date on the market, preparing for a showing, or simply presenting ourselves professionally. Those small actions build trust and confidence, which are essential in this business.

So many agents I co-broke with seem to do exactly the minimum they can do to get by. I find that crazy.

Fiduciary duties are just part of the professional coat we wear as real estate agents or REALTORS. Great point and the OLD CAR acronym is still true.  I just wish somewhere we could add a "T" for time is of the essence.
