“Your body is a masterpiece of invisible engineering.”
Did you know...
The human body contains about 60,000 miles of blood vessels?
If all the arteries, veins, and capillaries in your body were stretched end to end, they would extend roughly 60,000 miles. That is enough distance to circle the Earth more than twice. I don't know about you, but I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around that!
Every heartbeat sends blood traveling through that enormous internal highway system. Oxygen is delivered. Nutrients are transported. Waste is carried away. It is a constant, coordinated effort happening every second of every day.
When you think about it, the human body might be the most sophisticated transportation network ever created.
Fun Fact Friday Reflection:
If you had a 60,000-mile road system to maintain, you would probably take pretty good care of it. Maybe today is a good day to do something healthy for the amazing one you already have.
