Winter Won't Let Go!

There are many things I like about winter BUT as it goes on and on, Spring fever sets in. We have had a warm February (for North Dakota) but not so warm that it made me think "Ah, Spring has sprung". I know full well that Spring will not arrive here until late April.

This past Thursday, March 5th, we had a beautiful, light snowfall with no wind. Here are a couple of pics I just had to take and share.

At the age of 72 I no longer "hope" for an early Spring, it will get here when it get's here and even once it arrives Winter weather will slap it around once or twice.

Do you enjoy the cartoons written by my son (Timmothy N. Timm) which I use as a springboard to write my daily posts? His strip, Titus & Philemon, has run in two newspapers for years as well as being printed in my blog every day. Titus & Philemon (pronounced Phi - Lee -Man) are guinea pigs. Their owner is Joe. Timmothy has never repeated a joke/comic strip in the 12 years he has been writing it. He has never copied another strip, such as Peanuts or Garfield. You can follow Timmothy on FB as Titus & Philemon and you can also check him out on Instagram as Instagram.com/titus and philemon/ .For Timmothy's website type timmtimmothy.com into your browser. I tried to put it in a link here but it refuses to work. Do NOT put anything in front of timmtimmothy.com or it will not work.

Bob, we are finally getting some snow today, about 3" so far.  We have ONLY had 13" total before today, and we should have about 42" by this time.   My roses and trees were leafing out.

I hate when that happens (leafing and then freezing) as it often sets thing back an extra month. I hope you get more snow Joan Cox, Retired Broker/Owner for the forests sake.

Bob "RealMan" Timm We had a brutal winter, and I am so glad I live in a community that has snow removal, as I could not have removed the snow myself. Next week the weatherman is predicting some really warm temperatures in the 70-80's, quite a big jump from the below freezing temps we have been experiencing

Hannah Williams if it weren't for my son Timmothy living at home I'm not sure what I'd do... probably have a heart attack. Tomorrow and Sunday we are also expected to jump up about 30 degrees but back into the cellar on Monday.

Bob "RealMan" Timm we have gotten two snow storms over 14" each.  I hope we don't get any more but I picked up an Ariens 28" Pro Snowblower today.  So if we get another one, I will be going through it like butter.

After spending the money I hope you get the opportunity to go out and play in the snow George Souto . Even though I have been doing it all my life it is fun to have that power.

Bob "RealMan" Timm Thanks for sharing. Spring will come soon enough, but scenes like this remind us why winter has its own kind of beauty.

The evidence of it's beauty is that after 70 years I still get excited enough to take pictures to share Lise Howe 😊

John Pusa I am hoping the light at the end of the tunnel is coming soon. I think I need to head to CA and visit my AR friends for a month.

Good morning again, Bob. Beautiful photos. Then again, I am partial to winter scenes. I'm just not partial to living in winter scenes.

I get that Nina Hollander, Broker , a lot of things are easier to look at as opposed to live with 😊. The photo with the tumbleweed was my favorite as I don't remember seeing a frosted tumbleweed before.

Good morning. It has been a very mild (for us) winter this year and it really does feel like Spring. We had rain yesterday. But it looks like we might finally get some wintry weather next week.

I hope it doesn't catch any hikers off guard and they then need to be rescued Kat Palmiotti . Today and tomorrow we are to have very mild weather and then back to the norm.

The winters here are a lot different than the winters in your area, haha.  I enjoy winter here, but I know that I would not enjoy winter there, haha.

Bob "RealMan" Timm - I like your positive attitude. If there is one thing you can't rush or control, and that is the weather. I just love to see photos of snow-covered branches!
