Movie Review - You're Not You

By
Industry Observer DRE# ER40011786

If there is time, Sunday afternoon after chores and whatever else may happen, I LOVE to sit on the couch and watch a movie.   A secret pleasure of mine!

This Sunday, nothing looked interesting on HULU, so went over to Prime Video and scrolled until I found this one.   I love Josh Duhamel (so CUTE) and Hilary Swank is really good.    So, took a chance.

I kind of knew this could be a tear-jerker being about ALS, but it was more than that.  Another show that had other lessons learned along the way in many different areas, but boy, LOTS of tears towards the end.    There was a new-comer - Emmy Rossum that really transformed, but that's all I will say.

It was good from stem to stern, and didn't drag anywhere along the line.

A quiet Sunday afternoon movie can be a perfect way to unwind after a busy week. Films that tell meaningful stories often stay with us longer than the action-packed ones.

Stories about difficult subjects like ALS can be emotional, but they also remind us about resilience, relationships, and appreciating the time we have with the people around us.

Thank you for sharing the recommendation. It sounds like a powerful film and one worth watching when we are ready for a thoughtful story.

Good morning, Joan. Thanks for the suggestion. We don't have Hulu or other streaming services, but if it pops up on cable I will check it out.

Ok...this is not a "fit" for me (though Lynda would probably love it). This is one I would have the ballgame playing on my tablet.

Hi Joan,
I'm not much for sitting and watching movies by myself, but if I have cause, I will check it out... maybe with a friend who can wipe my tears away. 😊

Nina Hollander, Broker it was filmed in 2014, so bet you could find it on cable, if it sounds good to you.

Dorie, when you don't have any pressing things to do, it was really good.
