In the late 1990s and through mid 2000s, Danbury,CT was a booming place for real estate. Today, it is a just as a desirable place to call home but just does not have as many new homes. In that time, there were townhome projects that shaped the region.
They are known locally as Sterling Woods, Kensington Woods, Arlington Woods and Briar Woods. Sterling Woods is the oldest, but closest to the Federal Road corridor. Kensington Woods came next, just along the Mill Plain Road/ NY state line. Arlington Woods arrived about a 1.5 years after tht later on Danbury's east side near Newtown Road, and Briar Wood's is set along the Ridgefield town border across from the main entrance to Boehringer Ingeheim campus about .75 mile past Kensington Woods. Over the years, they are remained a popular price to call home.
They have all similar e style, interior floor plans. 3 of the 4 communities offer a pool and clubhouse (no pool at Briar Woods). They are have 2 bedroom, at least 1.5 baths and at least 1 car garage.
There are some differences. Only Sterling Woods has a section detached single family homes that are maintained like townhomes. Sterling Woods & Arlington Woods are the only 2 of the 4 have many have units with a main level no stairs entry. Standard feature for all homes include walk in closet, gas heat, central air and an open concept main level floor floor and a gas fireplace. With all exteriors being maintained by the association, these are popular options for those seeking a maintenance free lifestyles. You can still personalize the inside of the home.
Pricing is fairly consistent and competitive across the communities. Units in the last year with pricing ranging from the high $300ks to a little bit over $600k per smart MLS 1/1/2025 to 3/11/2026. Contact for further details. Please note the photos are some sold recenty sales and may not reflect current offerings.

As an e experienced real estate agent, I am very knowledgeable abut pricing and homes in the any of the 'Woods' communities I have done work in all of them over the years, and would welcome any prospective home buyer or seller contacts.

Please note on the map #1 is Sterling Woods, #2 is Arlington Woods, #3 is Briar Woods and #4 Kensington Woods
