Friendly Friday - Updates on March Challenges

Nina Hollander, Broker - I really liked your entry for the March Challenge: Lives Lost on AR, especially the FEATURE photo you created with such exceptional attention to details on Joe. He was an incredible man who made outstanding contributions to all members of  ActiveRain. 

Irving Berlin was a gifted lyricist that wrote American Songs that were simple to read, understand, and listen to when he wrote a song. White Christmas is one of those songs he wrote that touched hearts all around the world, during war and peace. 

Thank you for your participation to honor an AR Member who we lost. Your entry touched on my heart too.

Roy Kelley - it was an honor for me and Lew Corcoran to host double March Challenges. You were the first one, right out of the gate with your amazing trip to Lake Drummond in the Great Dismal Swamp. As a Boy Scout that had to be one of the most memorable adventures you went on with your Scout Troop Leader. Yours was about a place and a story I never would have known about, if it wasn't for your memory to vividly write with visual imagery about a real event that became a part of U.S. History!

I am very grateful to you and members who become interactive and appreciate each other. Lew Corcoran and I work well together hosting challenges like this because we respect each other and understand how important all members, living and deceased are to each other.

Gwen Fowler SC Lakes & Mountains 864-710-4518 - ActiveRain has evolved into a high-performance environment in which our focus is clear to the real estate community. Whether our work is in the past or the present, real estate is a challenging profession. Although we all have to be in compliance (state specific), we also have guidelines set up from the founders of ActiveRain. Members are people and People like to be appreciated and remembered. Something very unique are the resources that become available to other members by staying committed to values and up-to-date in current affairs. Whether it's sharing our methods, stories, new technology, such as AI we are always learning here on AR. Joining AR was the first big step and participation flows thereafter. When people are willing to help and support one another, we become a community family. For me personally, blogging is more like journaling. We are all writing our own stories. Receiving positive comments improves the environment. Trust isn't make-believe. Trust is real because it does "build momentum, strengthen relationships, and keeps creativity flowing across the platform."

Honoring one another via support, in memory, or including participation in monthly challenges fosters synergy and valuable contributions with opportunities that goes beyond the license and personal growth. 

Your membership Gwen encourages the spirit in which the purpose of ActiveRain was created. You have that natural gift of appreciation, and you have the discipline to refrain from judgment and criticism of others. Throughout your tenure on AR you don't chase people away, you bring people closer together.

Brian England - Reading and writing, including positive comments creates a life-long learning environment. Yes! It's great to read more about people from so many different states with different backgrounds. I've learned so much from AR Members!

We are the lucky ones who know how to communicate with respect for one another. 

Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 - Each person played a major role in committing to ActiveRain. I am also thankful those we lost are finally getting honored as a group effort. Their spirits live on. I find it interesting that when driving and I see a license plate from another state, a name of someone living or deceased from AR pops into my mind. 

Vicariously, we are all living through other people!

Bob "RealMan" Timm - First of all, you are so lucky to have a member from your family who is already 99 years old! I never had a family member or relative live that long. He shows wisdom through his Blue Bird toasts! Your daughter and her accomplishments and wedding must have been one of the most special moments in a father's life. To be toasted by your Uncle Herb about Blue Birds, was a gift that keeps on giving! 

May the Blue Bird of Happiness stay with you and all members of your family, now and forever.

Dorie Dillard Austin TX - Even though March has 31 days; it does go by fast. We have great writers on ActiveRain. Your stories were extra special. They were both written with meaning and intention to celebrate and honor; remember and share important aspects of life.

Hi George Souto - It's just as good to read one of the posts for the Challenges when it was posted, as it is to re-read it a second time. I always find a pearl or two I missed when I go back to re-read something meaningful and important.

Joan Cox, Retired Broker/Owner - When you're pressed for time, you have to keep going till you done. I understand. You will be missed. 

Kathy Streib - I was so happy to hear, see, and get a few good photographs of the Bluebird before it flew away. I think it helped that I was the only one there at the time. I was careful not to distract the Bluebird while admiring it. 

I am sorry to learn you're having issues with the English sparrows who want to trespass and steel one of the chicks. I've never heard of anything like that before. I wonder what would cause that bad bird behavior?

Carol Williams - It takes time to roundup the entries. This was my second post rounding up entries. I'll make a point to do this 3 more times before the 31st of March. Members seem to enjoy getting the information and I am happy to provide the entries. 

Lew Corcoran - I do my best to be creative when writing blog posts. This time, the inspiration came directly from the Bluebird in the tree where I was sitting on a park bench early in the morning. Yes! It was the Bluebird that was my inspiration :)
