Journal Entry for 3/13/2026
My feature photo is a bluebird taken less than a mile from where I live in Flower Mound, Texas. It was the joy of the song that caught my attention. Bluebirds symbolize happiness and joy, inspiring many poets and authors to capture their essence in beautiful quotes.
- Charles Bukowski: "There's a bluebird in my heart that wants to get out." This metaphor
expresses the longing for freedom and the emotional expression, using the bluebird as
a symbol of inner feelings.

Bluebirds Singing a song. Nothing but bluebirds All day long." This quote
celebrates the joy and positivity that bluebirds represent. From entries for Celebrating Lives Lost, you will notice a common thread. Each AR Member who was remembered, had a positive attitude. On the day I heard the bluebird in the tree, I was alone, sitting on a park bench. When the bluebird started singing, I looked up to see the blue sky. As I lowered my eyes to
survey the scene to see if I could see the bird, the bluebird was there, perched on the tree that has yet to bloom. This was the inspiration I needed to write about Susan Haughton.

- Paul McCartney: "Late at night when the wind is still, I'll come flying through your door,
And you'll know what love is for. I am a bluebird, I'm a bluebird..." This lyric captures the essence of love and connection associating it with the imagery of a bluebird.
