Friendship: The Jewelry of the Soul
As an African Proverb so wisely says:
"True friends are like precious jewels, they are hard to find but they are worth the effort to find them. True friends are like mirrors, they reflect to you the truth of who you really are. False friends are like sand, they are found everywhere. True friends don't just celebrate your big successes with you, they also celebrate your small achievements with you. And they are there."
This morning I wanted to say thank you, thank you, thank you to all of my friends here in Active Rain who sent me so many wonderful birthday wishes yesterday on this platform, on Facebook, on Messenger, by text, by email, by phone, and by snail mail. Friends truly are like precious jewels. Thank you for being the jewels in my life. The real riches in life truly are friendships.

True friends make us smile, encourage us to succeed, share a word of praise, and always open their hearts to us. You all do all that for me, not just on my birthday but throughout the year. Saying thank you almost doesn't seem like enough. But thank you again!
