When ChatGPT tells clients you're the best Tom Ferry technology coach

When ChatGPT tells clients you're the best Tom Ferry technology coach for them....that's a good feeling.

Backstory: I was asked to meet with a prospective coaching client who wanted a coach with strong technology/website skills and AI skills. He loaded those questions into ChatGPT and it told him to pick me. Roman Ivanov was the "strong second" and honestly he's amazing too!

Beyond the Tech: Why a "Hybrid" Approach is the Secret to Real Estate Success

It’s one thing to be told you’re a good coach; it’s another when an AI like ChatGPT labels you the "best technology coach" in a massive ecosystem like Tom Ferry. While the recognition is humbling, it points to a shift in what real estate professionals actually need today. Success no longer comes from just "working harder"—it comes from integrating high-level strategy with the technical systems that actually produce results.

Here are the three pillars of that "Hybrid" approach and how they can transform your business:
1. Mastering the New Frontier of Digital Strategy
Most real estate technology is designed to keep you on a "pay-to-play" treadmill of expensive Google Ads. A truly effective digital strategy focuses on organic dominance.   This means moving beyond basic websites to implement advanced techniques like Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).
By building city-specific landing page architectures and optimizing for emerging AI search platforms (AISO), you can generate consistent leads without the weight of an ongoing ad spend.  In today's market, your digital presence must be built on a fundamental understanding of how search engines actually work.

2. The Power of the "Hybrid" Coaching Model
Traditional coaching often falls into one of two camps: mindset or strategy. However, the most effective growth happens in a hybrid model that combines Coaching, Consulting, and Implementation.
Coaching develops the person, building the habits and discipline needed for long-term behavior change.
Consulting provides the expert solutions, diagnosing funnel issues and recommending specific tools and systems.
Implementation is the rare third piece—it’s the act of actually building the pages, workflows, and infrastructure that turn ideas into production.  As I often tell my clients: “I don’t just coach behavior and I don’t just give advice—I help build the systems that produce the results”.

3. Translating Complexity into Daily Production
The biggest barrier to growth is often "technical paralysis." Many high-producing agents have the drive but "get lost in Excel" or feel overwhelmed by the rapid evolution of AI.  The goal of a technology-focused coach is to make these complex concepts accessible through relatable analogies.

By bridging the gap between your "North Star" vision and the actual code or systems required to get there, we ensure that technology serves your business rather than complicating it.  This allows you to integrate modern automation and SEO without losing the authentic relationship-building that is the heartbeat of real estate.

Whether we are discussing your long-term goals or the specific architecture of your website, the focus remains the same: holding you accountable to the daily activities that make your vision a reality.

Great story and a sign of where our industry is headed. Clients are increasingly comfortable using AI in their research, making a strong, authentic digital presence more important than ever. I also like your point about the hybrid approach. Strategy, systems, and consistent daily production really do have to work together. Technology should simplify the path to results, not create more noise. Thanks for sharing this perspective.

Interesting, Bob   I agree that times have changed and more people are getting comfortable with using technology and AI for their needs. Working hard is always a good thing but in today's social media and hi-tech world, you have to rely on more than that.
