Yes I Am Forever in Blue Jeans and Cowboy Boots!

By
Real Estate Agent with Dirt Road Real Estate SA676002000

Driving back from an early breakfast meeting with a customer (I may now next week when I meet him at the property if I have earned him as a client), Neil Diamond’s song “Forever in Blue Jeans” came on the radio. I looked down at my blue jeans and realized how much happier I am today wearing blue jeans and my cowboy boots instead of professional tailored suits with high heeled shoes.

Then I listened to the rest of the lyrics and my husband is also in blue jeans or denim overalls and wears cowboy boots. He, too is happy, because he no longer wearing dress pants and street shoes to work.

Also, the phrase about money hit home as well. Yes, money does talk, but money is not the be all, end all that some folks seem to believe.

Moving here to Mohave County, Golden Valley AZ in NW AZ have allowed us to return to casual and comfortable clothes as well as a lifestyle. We both are happier than we were back in NW IN.

Funny how blue jeans and boots can make a difference. I receive compliments on my boots far more than I ever did on my high heeled shoes. My boots are like wearing slippers. I can wear them all day long. Yes, life is indeed good out here in the middle of nowhere where we both are forever in blue jeans and cowboy boots.

P.S. Please consider checking out my Facebook business page, The Grit and Gratitude Agent that will focus on the Dirt Roads in Mohave County as well local real estate, lots of dirt or vacant land parcels as some of the local attractions.

Leanne Smith blue jeans and cowboy boots sound perfect to me for the territory you cover.

That is so true. High heeled shoes to flip flops don't work. Thank you George Souto

I'm with you on this Leanne!  Since I moved to CO after college it became my go-to wardrobe. I gave away all my suits years ago!  And honestly never wore high heels.

Well good to know I am not alone.  As to the high heels, they were OK but the boots are far better. Good afternoon and enjoy the weekend.

Blue jeans and boots and the hat as well is a cool place to be. Ready to walk into a country diner and write up a purchase contract. I like it Leanne. Jeff

As to hats just invested in a custom $400 hat that I now wear provided the winds are mild.  I have another hat that I can tie for those more often than not windy days.

Good morning, Leanne... Neil Diamond is one of my top 5 favorite singers of all time. As for blue jeans... I don't wear blue and I don't own any boots (except for snow).  I do, however, as a self-respecting New Yorker wear black denim and wear if often. However, I do love my "business" clothes and wear them frequently.

Well I do have a several pairs of black denim jeans with black boots to match. My business clothes from my past life have been reduced to maybe 2 pant suits.  I have only 2 pairs of good open toe shoes all others have been given away,

Leanne Smith I still have a closet full of my business suits... I have gotten rid of many, especially those that are more suitable for winter seasons. But I still have plenty left. And when I show up at the office wearing one them, people are always saying "you must have a closing today."

I only break out my blue jeans on cold days, and luckily, there are few, so most of the time I am wearing shorts, haha.  I definitely prefer wearing jeans to suits!

Even on the hottest of hottest days, I wear jeans outside due to being of Scandinavian decent (ghosts have more color that I have). Possibly I may have one pair of shorts that I wear inside only. Good morning to you Brian

Love this. When your lifestyle matches your environment, it shows in your energy and your work. That authenticity connects with clients far more than any polished image ever could.

You captured something important here—success isn’t just about income, it’s about comfort, purpose, and enjoying where you are every day. And in your market, that “blue jeans and boots” lifestyle is exactly what many buyers are looking for.

Well said and well lived.

Good morning Gwen and thank you.  Out here casual is the word but that does not mean unkempt.  My jeans and tops are always clean. I do my best to keep the boots relatively clean though dust is my constant companion. Love your point about authenticity and that is beyond true.

I cringe when I see someone in heels trying to walk on land.  Yesterday, she had time to add boots to her dress, rain boots to walk property. LOL.

Leanne, I will be like you in a couple of months - sandals and sundresses!   I will take some dressy clothes with me for nice dinners, but only a few!   I don't own any cowboy boots, and only one pair of blue jeans, but a couple pair of black jeans.

What I have  are 3 pairs of dark blue jeans, 3 pairs of light blue jeans, 3 pairs of black jeans, 1 pr each of green and brown jeans, 1 pair of cream colored jeans and one pair of light tan jeans.  As to the boots, I think around 10 pair and always looking for new ones as well. For the 3 pairs, one is for walking dirt properties, another is for going into town and the third is for dress up for those few events I attend.

Hi Leanne,
My husband loved his nice clothes, but he grew up on a farm, so he also loved blue jeans and cowboy boots... western wear in general.  He loved going to the rodeos. After we were married, he convinced me to buy some cowgirl boots, and I enjoyed wearing them too, but I haven't worn them in years.

Good morning Carol and thanks for sharing your story.  I also had farm connections, but wore corduroys and rain boots. My sense is I have always been more inclined to western wear than city wear.
