When I read the post by Kathy Streib titled 'How Do You Read ActiveRain?", it made me stop for a minute and think about how we all take in information, and how different that process looks for each of us.
For me, reading on ActiveRain isn’t just about the words on the page. It’s about the stories behind them, the experiences being shared, and the little nuggets that make me pause and say, “Ah… that’s so true.”

Some posts I read quickly, almost like scanning headlines. Others, I slow down. I reread a paragraph. I let it sit with me. Those are usually the ones that connect to something I’ve experienced in real estate, something a seller said, a showing that didn’t go as expected, or one of those moments where you realize… this business is never just about the house.
And then there are the comments. The answers. The conversations that happen underneath the post. That’s where something really interesting happens for me. An idea sparks.

With phone in hand, I’ll start, hit the record, and start talking. No editing, no overthinking. Just capturing the thought while it’s fresh. And sometimes, right there in that moment, I “write” what eventually becomes my own take on a blog.
And then there are the posts that turn into something more. A thought becomes a blog. A blog becomes a radio topic. A simple idea grows legs and walks right into a conversation with a client.
That’s what I love about ActiveRain. It’s not just reading, it’s absorbing, reflecting, and sometimes reshaping what we read into something that helps someone else.
So, how do I read ActiveRain?
A little quickly.
A little slowly.
And sometimes… I read something, and before I know it, I’m already dictating it into my phone and writing my next blog.
