Recently I saw a new construction townhome that was offered at a very low price that caught my eye. Taxes should have been around $9,000 a year plus or minus. Research disclosed taxes in the community would be around $15,000 plus. The decision was easy peasy, PASS. the uninformed buyer would have faced a big and potentially fatal surprise.
