A Little History
Harrisburg Lake Estates is animal friendly plus homeowners are friendly and say hello or wave as you pass by. The little town of Harrisburg is rich in history and was founded in 1859. Twenty-five families there in small rock houses, like the one below.

Vineyards and orchards plus cane provided food for sorghum and molasses. It was only possible due to hauling water from Quail Creek. When the spring water diminished, they had to move. Two rock houses without roofs and a small cemetery behind a wrought iron fence are onsite. By 1928, only 2 families remained.
