May is here, and with it comes a meaningful opportunity to honor the women who have touched our lives in powerful ways.
With Mother’s Day on May 10, 2026, we are launching a special ActiveRain challenge… one that goes beyond just celebrating “mom” in the traditional sense.
Because the truth is, not everyone’s story looks the same.
Some of us were blessed with incredible mothers.
Some of us lost our mothers early in life.
Some of us carry complicated or painful memories.
Many of us were shaped by other remarkable women who stepped into that role in their own way.
This month, we invite you to celebrate the women who helped shape who you are today.

What Can You Write About?
You can take this in whatever direction feels right for you.
If your mother was a positive influence:
Share a favorite memory, a life lesson she taught you, or how she continues to impact your life today.
If your mother is no longer with you:
Honor her memory. Reflect on her legacy, her strength, or the ways she still lives on in your heart.
If your relationship with your mother was complicated:
You are welcome to share your truth, your growth, or the lessons that came from that journey, or not at all.
If another woman shaped your life:
Celebrate a grandmother, aunt, sister, teacher, mentor, friend, or any woman who stepped in, stepped up, or stood beside you when it mattered most.
There is no “right” way to do this challenge. Make it your own.
