The Wonderful Ripple Created by Paying It Forward
This is one of those days that could be celebrated 365 days of the year. Today is International Pay It Forward Day.
Founded in 2007 by Blake Beattie of Australia. The idea was from a book by Catherine Ryan Hide. Since its founding, Pay It Forward has inspired an estimated 10 million acts of kindness per year!

This movement encompasses 86 countries, encouraging people to spread random acts of kindness in their own communities.
The idea of this day is to pay forward a kindness that has been shown to you…not paying it back to the person who was kind to you, although that’s always a good idea.
This is a story I’ve shared before. When I learned that Larry and I would be moving to Florida, I thought my world had been turned upside down. I’d lived in Houston all my life.
Most of my friends sympathized with me, not realizing that this made me feel even worse.
Except one…When I told my friend Kay about my move, her eyes lit up, and she said, 'I’m so excited for you! I’ve always wanted to go to Florida! Think of all the new adventures you’ll have.”
From that moment on, my attitude changed. I was looking forward to the move.
Kay’s positive attitude was my lightbulb moment. To pay it forward, I have worked hard to pass that positive outlook and support to others when they are facing changes in their lives.

When I wrote about this before, others shared how they had paid it forward to others. Reading their comments was more fun than merely writing the post.
Please share your experiences with us in the comments, and if you want, write a post about it!!!
Peace begins with a smile.
