Fetching Fun Festival: Where Mint Hill Goes to the Dogs (In the Best Way!) 🐾

If your idea of a perfect Saturday includes sunshine, smiling neighbors, and a whole lot of wagging tails, then mark your calendar for Saturday, May 2, 2026. The Fetching Fun Festival is coming to Mint Hill Founders Park, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most delightful community events in the Greater Charlotte area.

🐶 A Day Dedicated to Our Four-Legged Friends

Hosted by Mint Hill Events, this festival is all about celebrating the joy dogs bring into our lives. From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the park transforms into a lively hub of pet-friendly fun. Whether you’re a lifelong dog owner or just someone who can’t resist stopping to pet every pup you pass, you’ll feel right at home here.

Expect to see:

  • A variety of vendors offering everything from gourmet dog treats to stylish accessories
  • A food truck serving up tasty bites for the humans in attendance
  • Plenty of friendly dogs showing off their personalities (and maybe a few tricks!)

🌳 Showcasing Mint Hill’s Dog Park

One of the highlights of the day is the chance to explore and enjoy Mint Hill’s dog park. Mint Hill Founders Park offers a 1.3-acre dog park with separate spaces for small and large dogs, as well as shaded seating. Over a mile of hiking trails are mostly flat and paved, making them stroller-friendly and accessible for all ages, with several benches and scenic overlooks along the route. The dog park is illuminated for evening use. If you haven’t visited before, this is the perfect opportunity to see why locals love it. Spacious, welcoming, and designed with both pets and people in mind, it’s a great example of how communities in the Greater Charlotte region are embracing pet-friendly living.

🎉 More Than Just A Dog Festival

Events like the Fetching Fun Festival capture what makes towns like Mint Hill so special. It’s not just about the activities—it’s about connection. Neighbors meeting neighbors, dogs making new friends, and families enjoying a relaxed, joyful day outdoors.

Did you know that the Town of Mint Hill has been ranked by Niche.com as the #21 best Charlotte area suburb to live in.? And did you know that Mint Hill  (not Charlotte) was Mecklenburg County’s first town, founded in 1750 by Scot-Irish pioneers?

🦴 Why You Should Go

Even if you don’t have a dog (yet!), this event is worth a visit. It’s lighthearted, welcoming, and a great way to experience the charm of the Greater Charlotte area. And who knows—you might just leave inspired to add a furry friend to your household.

Nina Hollander, Charlotte’s pet-friendly Realtor®, likes to remind clients that events like Mint Hill's Fetching Fun Festival highlight how much your surroundings matter—not just for you, but for your dog. Dorie Dillard Austin TX hi Dorie... people in the Charlotte area are quite kinds and we have many dog lovers here. I actually kid that in my own neighborhood we probably have more dog residents than we have human residents.

Brian England good morning, Brian... it's been heavily "advertised" on social media, so I thought I'd add to the exposure.
