Friday Flags:  A Naugatuck CT Landmark Full of Pride

I took a quick detour while on my way to an appointment early this week, and it may have been pre-0rdained, as I had a stop sign that also said, here's the place.

The old train station in Naugatuck, which was once a busy spot for commuters going into the New York area has been out of rail service or years, A new one is under construction on another part of the railway.

The old station has been repurposed, and now is a restaurant, called The Station Restaurant

I made a metal note to stop on my way back to get the shot.

It was just meant to be and again I share the results as well.

Good morning, Ed... it was definitely meant to be! Love the look of the flag and love the look of the "new" restaurant in the old train station. Have you eaten there and do you recommend it? I also love that they didn't just tear down the old station.

Nina Hollander, Broker   Hello Cuz, yes, we have eaten there. There are not a loft of special restaurants in Naugatuck, so it does fill quickly. The main dining area has a vaulted ceiling and as the level of alcohol in patrons rises so does the noise level.  Above the bar is a large special events area for private parties or additional seating when not committed

Ed Silva, 203-206-0754 these days, I find that most restaurants have too high a noise level... sometimes I wonder if that's on purpose. I hate feeling like I need to shout to have Chris hear me when we are out having dinner.
