Saturday Soundness ~ The Pineal Gland

Good morning and good health to you! I've written on this topic back in 2021, but thought it was time to revisit the Pineal Gland! If you pop over to that post, you can find the link to the entire chapter to read if you choose. This topic has raised eyebrows for some, and for others, there is a keen interest to know more.

This tiny gland sits in the middle of your brain and is about the size of a grain of rice. As tiny as it may be, this little structure is important and powerful. This gland produces two very important chemicals we need: Melatonin for achieving good sleep and Serotonin to help maintain excellent clarity and mood.

Also of importance is the fact that this little gland is the only other structure in the body that can detect light. Eyes, of course, are the main body structures that deal with light yet this tiny gland also plays a role in detecting light. Because of the light aspect, this is why the production of the two sleep and mood chemicals is so vital.

There are pollutants and toxins however, that cause the Pineal Gland to calcify. A calcified gland will not be able to function in the way it was intended. However, the good news is, there are measures that you can take to de-calcify this gland.

As I already mentioned, click on the link above to read the full chapter on this interesting topic. Every part of our body is important. Understanding how we can strive for optimal health is key.

MAY YOU FULLY LIV2DAY!

Hi Paula,

I’ve always been fascinated by the brain, in general, and this information explains a lot about why sleep and mood are so interconnected.

This is a great reminder that taking care of our health isn’t just about one thing; it’s about how everything works together.

Yes, Carol. Everything in our bodies works together when they are at an optimal health status. We have to be vigilant with our health.

You can find specific details on how to do that in the blog post with the link. It's interesting to find out what causes the calcification.

Your posts often reinforce changes that I have made in my life for better health.  This addresses one of the reasons that I stopped wearing sunglasses and prescription glasses, which has led to my eyesight becoming better, haha.

Yes, Brian. There are so many things we have been told that we are now finding out are not good for us. Stepping up for your health, as you have done, is essential.
