Mother’s Day and Real Estate
Mother’s Day may make you think about home.
Not just the house itself, but the feeling of walking through the door and knowing where you belong.

In real estate, we talk about bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, square footage, updates, inspections, appraisals, and interest rates.
But the real reason people buy and sell homes is usually much deeper and more personal.
They might be looking for a place to share or a retreat to get away from work, safe, quiet…looking for “my space.” A place to gather for celebrations. The family is growing or maybe getting smaller, i.e., empty nesters. A place for a home office or hobbies if you are an artist, a car collector, a woodworker, or a potter.
A backyard to entertain.
A place close to family.
A place with fewer steps.
A place with more room.
A place where a new chapter can begin.
And many times, they sell the home where all of those memories already happened.
That is where real estate becomes more than a transaction.
A home often holds the family's history. The kitchen table where decisions were made. The room where everyone gathered,
On Mother’s Day, remember that every house has a story, and many of those stories begin with a mother making a home out of four walls.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and mother figures, grandmothers, stepmothers, and to all the people who made you feel like their house was home. Who do you think of on Mother’s Day? Suggestion: pick up the phone and call that person. Go ahead and make their day.
