Seven years ago, I sold a charming home in Uxbridge, MA to a newly married young couple. It was a cozy two-bedroom, one-bath house with many updates, a huge yard, and an in-ground pool - perfect for starting their life together. Fast forward two kids later, they realized yard work was the last thing they wanted to spend time on; they preferred playing with their kids over tackling endless chores.
When they were ready to upgrade to fit their growing family, they chose a three-year-old townhouse that checked every box: three bedrooms, a spacious family room with a fireplace open to the kitchen for easy kid-watching while cooking, a two-car garage, and a walk-out unfinished basement ideal for the kids once completed. Best of all? No lawn care, no pool upkeep, and no snow shoveling.
After owning a house and understanding the work that comes with its upkeep, they knew without a doubt that a townhouse was the perfect choice. They’re excited to continue their family’s story in the same town, enjoying a new, larger home and more free time to spend together.
