Friday Flags:  A New Welcome to Watertown Corner

On my way to league this past week, I noticed a change at one of the intersections leading into Watertown, CT. Some work had been done to a corner just outside a mostly medical building intersection that also had access to an industrial park.

A new sign board was installed with a big welcome for travelers.

It was better as there was a new pole directly adjacent to the board, that said a lot about the residents and town management as well.

It was a bit of a sheltered corner, but I got enough wind to make that large flag stand out.

Ed Silva, 203-206-0754 I noticed those wires, Ed. That's more wires than I've seen in donkey's years.

So appreciate your Friday Flag posts.  Communities that honor our country by flying our flag need to be acknowledged.

Thank you. So many homeowners fry the flag, but I try to chase the businesses and buildings that do it as well.

Brian England   not much can be done with the wires, but a large flag offsets that some

Ed, when I see a flag nowadays, especially the ones that are prominently or unusually installed, I often think of you and your camera.

Steffy Hristova  I don't think I have ever been associated that strongly with a flag except for the photos taken at Basic Training.
