Amidst the beautiful flowers, candies, cards and celebrations, the truth is Mother's Day can be sad, rage-filled, or even isolating. Not everyone had a good mom or childhood. and it can feel awkward when everyone else is honoring and celebrating mothers. Others suffer with childlessness, child death or prodigal children.
Some folks are teachers with hundreds of students but no biological heirs. Others are foster parents of furry creatures.
