Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers reading this message. Have a very special day as we recall the fond memories of our mothers.
Mother’s Day in the United States traces back to the early 20th century, when Anna Jarvis successfully campaigned to establish a national holiday honoring mothers and their influence. Officially recognized in 1914, the day was intended as a meaningful, personal tribute—something simple and heartfelt.
While that history reminds us of the care behind the holiday, it’s also important to recognize that “mothering” shows up in many forms. This weekend is also a chance to appreciate those who step into that role—grandparents, aunts, mentors, friends, and caregivers who provide steady support and guidance, even if they don’t carry the title of “mom.”
At the same time, Mother’s Day doesn’t feel the same for everyone. For those who have lost their moms, are estranged, or never had that relationship, the weekend can bring a different set of emotions. As we celebrate, it’s worth keeping those experiences in mind and making space for them too.
