Price of Gas higher than the mortgage rate. Saw Gas Price at 6.89 Mortgage rate approximately 6.25%
Retail clerks still not good with counting money. I purchased two things this morning- One cost $2.50 and the other $1.00. I handed the clerk a $20 bill. He handed me change and I started to walk away and realized he gave me $18. I turned and said "you gave me too much money".. He dismissed (politely) my comment 2 times and assured me he was correct
Drove by a gas station and saw a really elderly lady pumping gas into her car. I thought back - when I was in high school and college I pumped gas. In those days -late 60's early 70'- the attendant pumped the gas. I think in many ways we were kinder -- I can't imagine people in that time frame allowing an older person to pump gas. Most people I knew had a respect for the older generation. We all would have wanted to help.
