Whispering Oaks Winery is located just a few miles outside The Villages on the west side. I have been there maybe six times and always enjoyed my visits including one time I bought a case! Here is there story:
We make all our wines right here, and each bottle of our signature Blueberry wines containing 2.2 pounds of Blueberries and packed with antioxidants. 35 years ago, Florida had almost no commercial blueberries. Then the University of Florida developed a variety that could thrive in our soil and climate. Today, Florida produces over 20 million pounds of blueberries each year — adding more than $100 million to the state’s economy. We are a 2nd generation Blueberry Farm & Winery in the Heart of Central Florida. We harvest and ferment Gator Grape with 100% blueberries to create unique award-winning wines that are far from ordinary.
