I'm printing this to late to participate this year as the auction was April 23rd BUT this years Prairie Warrior Auction raised $135,000.
The event had more than 250 live and silent auction items and table games. Many people also made cash donations. The auction is held to help squadrons at Minot Air Force Base fund events, meals, and other morale-boosting activities.

GREAT point Wayne Martin . The base is the perfect neighbor. Besides the employment it brings to the nation there are hundreds of civilian jobs that benefit Minot and the surrounding area. The government also spends billions in development and maintenance of the base. It's a huge win to the area and we do all we can to keep it here.
Bob, this is the kind of story that reminds us how strong local communities can be. Raising $135,000 to support the men and women serving at Minot Air Force Base is no small thing. The auctions, donations, and community involvement all add up to something much bigger—showing our troops and their families they are seen, valued, and appreciated. Minot goes all out for the base all the time Gwen Fowler SC Lakes & Mountains 864-710-4518 . 99% of the men and women serving there are wonderful residents. They are always very polite and community minded. The base also brings billions of dollars to the community.
That sounds like a good way to spend money - supporting our troops!

I think a lot of people realize (as I do) that these are our sons and daughters Kat Palmiotti . These are the best of the best of the 18 to 30 year olds. These kids are unbelievable polite, dedicated to protect and serve, and willing to lend a helping hand when needed. They are the best neighbors to Minot ever.
I'm sure they are Bob "RealMan" Timm !- having 3 of our 4 sons in the military either now or in the past, and with a hubby who was military, I get it!
This is a good reminder for all of us to support military families in our communities.

That is right Roy Kelley . This is a tough time for many as their children, spouses, and families are involved in the confrontation in the middle East.
I'm not aware of a food supplemental program here Roy Kelley but you make me want to check into it.
Many military families in our area are taking advantage of food assistance programs. I hope you have sources for free groceries in your area.

We seem to only see this type of community spirit in smaller towns and cities. From what I see big cities are crumbling under the weight of bad decisions.

Amen to that Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty . We have a Mayor race and a couple of council seats up this year and it seems all the candidates can't wait to spend more of our money. It's sad.
Showing support for the Air Force is a wonderful thing to do! My Dad was in the Air Force, so it's the branch that I am most fond of. I couldn't imagine myself being in any of the military divisions with the chance of having to fight in a war, haha.
