Enjoying Every Day to Its Fullest!

Nina, I used to love the Taste when I was in Denver.  Not sure if they have anything like that here.   Are you going out to a restaurant?

Joan Cox, Retired Broker/Owner hi Joan... this is not a restaurant event... it's hundreds of booths with "tastes" of dishes from restaurants all around Charlotte. I went one year... it was beyond crowded... fun... but after an hour I had enough.

Enjoy your local events!

Good morning Nina. If I lived closer I would explore the opportunity. Depending on my mood I would do a "drive by" to see how crowded it was. Sometimes, I would park and try to endure the crowds and sometimes I would pass. Like you I don't like crowds. Enjoy your day.

Wayne Martin hi Wayne... so many streets closed you could forget about the drive-by. The last time I went I took the train and parked my car at the train station.

As long as the SIP is included, this is really my kind of festival. Have fun  :)

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty hi Jeff... I'm more of a Restaurant Week kind of girl. I've experienced Taste of Charlotte and while I loved all the tasting, the crowds were too much for me.

Food, wine, music, outdoor air - sounds lovely!

But an hour would be enough for me too - probably too "people-y"

Kat Palmiotti hi Kat... when I last attended I was sure I hadn't seen that many people on the streets at one time even in NY City.

If I were in the area, this is an event that I would absolutely be open to attending!  I can picture myself with a glass of wine and some beef, haha.

May 28, 2026 06:27 AM
Nina Hollander, Broker

Brian England hi Brian... I don't think you can walk the streets here with wine in your hand. You probably would need to go to the areas designated for alcoholic beverages. But since I don't drink I can't say that is totally true!

Brian England

You are probably right Nina Hollander, Broker since that is the way it is here as well, such a shame though, haha.

Kathy Streib I don't know about that, Kathy! Last time I went one hour of the crowds was about all I could take!

Good evening Nina,

I remember you writing about this festival before and it sounds like it offers the perfect way to kick off summer in the city! 27 years strong says a lot about how popular this festival is!

Dorie Dillard Austin TX good morning, Dorie... this is one of the Charlotte area's favorite food festivals... so I do write about every year. Lots of fun and great tastings if you can stand the crowds. :)

Good afternoon Nina Hollander, Broker festivals are fun when they are organized in many cities. I personally don't attend many, the last time my husband and I went, it was the Strawberry Festival in Lakeland. For both of us, there was way too many people, it was hard to find a parking space. It was not enjoyable🙃

Katina Hargrove 352-551-0308 hi Katina... I get what you're saying about the crowds... the last time I went to Taste of Charlotte I lasted one hour. In my case, I can take the train so the driving and parking aren't bad... but those crowds are "killer."

Nina Hollander, Broker not our cup of tea either, I find that it may be more fun for younger people with no little ones.
