May 2026 one of the wettest Mays on record

I'm so glad this rain has stopped. We've had over 4 inches of rain so far this week and over 9 inches of rain for the month of May in central Ohio.

The weather forecast now is sunny for the next five or six days so hopefully all this stuff will dry up and the mud city will turn into a normal situation

How's the weather in your neighborhood?

Good morning Joe. While you are hoping for sunny weather my friends in South Carolina and Florida are hoping for rain. Mother Nature can be cruel. Hope you dry out. Enjoy your day.

Joe, that is an incredible amount of rain for one month. After that much water, I imagine everyone in central Ohio is ready for sunshine and a chance for the ground to finally dry out. Too much rain can make everything from construction projects to yard work and real estate showings a challenge. Hopefully the upcoming stretch of sunny weather helps get things back to normal quickly.

Good morning, Joe... we have been in a quite severe drought in the Charlotte area so the 5 inches of rain we got last week were very welcome.

If April showers bring May flowers, what can one expect with heavy May showers besides a lot of disappointed people.
