Friday Flags: Posing Through the Trees in Watertown CT

The wind is obviously your friend!

Ed, your Friday Flags series always reminds me how often great photographs come from simply paying attention to the world around us. The opening through the trees created a natural frame for the flag, and having the banner cooperate with a little wind made the shot even more interesting. Sometimes the best images are the ones we discover unexpectedly while going about our day.

I also enjoyed your observation about "flag luck." As photographers know, timing, light, weather, and a little patience often come together at just the right moment. This is another nice addition to your ongoing collection and a reminder to keep looking up while traveling through familiar places.

Oooh, that is a really good capture!  People who don't have a keen eye like you for the flag might have missed it.
