For me, President Reagan was the man! This is when I first realized the awful media bias in the USA. It was one tenth of what it is now.

Your list this week is also significant as most all were recorded and watched on tv.

A busy week for world events. I remember when we visited Normandy visiting the graveyard was a moving experience.

Hi Dorie... I remember so many of these event. Still can recall the shock I felt when I woke up to the news that RFK was assassinated. As for the FIFA World Cup... my husband attended a number of those matches. He play semi-professional football in South Africa and spends half his life watching matches on TV.

Hi Dorie- I've told you this before but I'll say it again...I love these each week. I always find at least one historical fact that I want to explore more. It's hard to believe that President Reagan has been gone as long as he has. 

Dorie it does not seem like that long ago that President Ronald Reagan passed away.

I didn't realize that Secretariat won the Belmont Stakes to complete the Triple Crown shortly after I was born, haha.
