I'm Still in the Game
Not every house sells the first weekend.
Not every property generates multiple offers.
And not every listing is easy.
In fact, some of the most rewarding sales of my career have been the ones that everyone else had given up on.
I have a property on the market right now that falls squarely into that category.
Before it came to me, the owner tried selling it himself. Then it was listed with one agent. Then another. Then another. It even went to auction.
Still no sale.
By the time I was called, many agents would have politely declined. After all, how many chances does a property get before people start asking, "What's wrong with it?"
But I've never been particularly interested in taking only the easy listings.
The truth is, almost any property can be sold if you lower the price enough. Eventually a flipper, investor, or bargain hunter will come along and buy it.
But that's not always the best outcome.
My job isn't simply to sell a house. My job is to find the right buyer.
The buyer who sees what others miss.
The buyer who appreciates the location, the features, the possibilities, and the value.
The buyer who walks through the front door and says, "This is exactly what I've been looking for."
That buyer may not appear the first week.
Or the first month.
Sometimes it takes patience.
Sometimes it takes creativity.
Sometimes it takes persistence.
In the meantime, I keep working.
I advertise.
I write.
I talk about the property on my radio show.
I feature it in publications.
I answer inquiries.
I follow up.
I look for new ways to tell the story.
Because every property has a story, and sometimes the challenge is finding the person who connects with it.
Would it be easier to slash the price and attract investors? Maybe.
Would it be faster? Probably.
But until we've exhausted every reasonable opportunity to find the right buyer, I'm not ready to give up.

Some listings are sprints.
Others are marathons.
This one is a challenge.
And challenges are often the reason I got into this business in the first place.
So for now, I'm still in the game.
Still marketing.
Still searching.
Still believing that somewhere out there is the buyer who will see this property for what it is, not just another house, but the right house.
And when that buyer arrives, all of the waiting, advertising, showing, and persistence will have been worth it.
