Sunday Pondering in June & Some Funnies

By
Industry Observer DRE# ER40011786

What a gorgeous day - every day is around 80, and even the humidity is lower than usual, although at 9:12 am this morning, it is 61%.  It has been in the 30's.  NOT BAD.

Friday I moved the rest of my things into the apartment, and all set up now.   Had to go to several stores, had a long list of things I needed.   The kitties adapt well, and still are fearful of the noises from the building (people coming and going).   They didn't have that at home.   My landlord is living in Rome, but is from NYC, and met him Friday.   He lives just above me, and when him and his wife return to Portugal, they will invite me for dinner.  WOW, that was  nice.

SURE thankful I won't be moving for quite some time now!   3 times in 6 weeks with 4 suitcases, two carry-ons, two kitty carriers and then a bag of food.  Goodness!   Still sad about my adopted mom, as her service will be 6/10, and I cannot attend.  My heart will be there!

My immigration attorney will call tomorrow and we will get things set up for the appointment here to finalize my immigration.   Still need to get insurance though.

Still don't have a car, but in the next couple of weeks will work on that too.  Right now, rather enjoying the walking and getting my steps in.  Although I should do the walking in the earlier morning hours rather than the afternoon, it wouldn't be so hot!

Ready for some funnies?   I know I can always use a laugh.

I know Lucy likes to dig to China when she gets in the box.

I think the kiddos would surely get a kick out of this one!

Well, enjoy your Sunday.  I am back on my schedule - cleaning house and laundry on Sunday.   Still will go for a walk by the beach, though.  That never gets old.   I found a pub within a couple of blocks that sells wings and margaritas.  Haven't seen a place with margaritas, so may do that tonight!

Hi Joan,
You've made great progress in the short time you've been there and getting out and about too! The funnies were all funny. I especially like the "patience" one.

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty a bit left to do, like immigration stuff and a car.  THEN I can start traveling again.   Everytime I think of Virginia, I just get sad, but she was 92.  She did have a long wonderful life.

Joan, it sounds like you are finally getting settled after quite a journey. I am glad the kitties are adjusting, and a walk by the beach sounds like a wonderful way to enjoy your Sunday.

Enjoy, now you are settled life should get easier. Everything will fall into place. Our cat is a digger and even with a high sided litter box it amazes me how he gets it everywhere.

You are on the wrong continent for margaritas, the national drink of Portugal comes from a fermented grape. They call it wine and there is no salt around the rim, Joan Cox, Retired Broker/Owner
