Living in the central part of Quarteira, parking is hard to find, so you will be driving around and around for a while. I think because of this, the trash trucks come at 11 or 11:30 pm every night.
With my first night's sleep, in the early dawn hours, I heard some SCREECHING, and had my bedroom door closed. I went running out into the living room to see if the kitties were OK. OHHHH, was just sea gulls. We didn't have this noise in Aurora....LOL.
Going for breakfast and coffee, I get such a kick of when the locals order a pastry with their beer. AND, almost every table does it!
After I got moved into my apartment, I went to the grocery store, since NOTHING was in the frig, and started to wonder if halibut, perch, scallops or trout were available. I looked, and also went to the meat market, didn't find any of these, just fish I haven't heard of before. Guess I have some trying to do!
Most apartments have at least a washer, some have a dryer, and some have a machine that will do both. I had only a washer in the Airbnb and also here. SO, have to hang your clothes out. SO funny with hanging your undergarments out. I bought a drying rack, not doing that. BUT did hang my shirts and towels out today. I would worry on windy days about losing some of your laundry! OR, one of the clips let loose, and now you have dirty laundry AGAIN.

I am sure there will be more, I will make notes!
