Why Not Make Your Post a Summer Rerun?
This is the time of year when most of the networks air reruns of their popular series. It’s a good time to catch up on shows you missed!
After eighteen years on ActiveRain and over 7,000 posts, there are days I struggle to find a blog topic.
Having series like Posts Just for You This Week, Motivational Monday, Wordless Wednesdays, Friday Fun, and This Week on Saturday helps. But because I try to post every day, that leaves a few days open.
Why NOT have a summer rerun of one of your posts??
~What about refurbishing a post you wrote that didn’t get many views or comments you’d hoped for? Revamp your thoughts and add new graphics. Read what comments there were to help with content.
Go to your HOME PAGE>on the left, scroll down to TRAFFIC(STATS). Click on that, and on the right are columns. Go to VIEWS, click on it, and it will show you posts with the lowest number of views you've had.
~Turn yesterday’s post into today’s post by adding today’s perspective.
For example, 10 years ago, I would have had a negative opinion on virtual staging. However, today, I would have a very different opinion. I’m all for it.
~Update neighborhood and local events posts.
Statistics change as do events and neighborhoods.
Something to remember: it’s not enough to copy and paste an older post into the AR Editor. Write a fresh one with what’s going on today.
And…one more thing…just because you wrote it, doesn’t mean it’s been read.
And even though we may have read it, it does not mean we’ll remember it.
I’ve looked back over my posts, and even I couldn’t remember writing some of them.
