Thinking About Calling Charlotte's Fourth Ward Home?

Thinking About Calling Fourth Ward In Charlotte Home?

Events like Movies in Fourth Ward Park are part of what makes Charlotte such a great place to call home. From outdoor concerts and festivals to neighborhood gatherings and family-friendly activities, there is always something happening that helps bring the community together.

Fourth Ward combines Charlotte’s rich history with the energy of urban living. Beautifully restored Victorian homes dating back more than a century share the neighborhood with luxury condominiums, apartment communities, local businesses, and the park that serves as its centerpiece. The result is a distinctive blend of old and new that has made Fourth Ward one of Uptown Charlotte’s most desirable residential neighborhoods.

Spanning roughly 30 city blocks, Fourth Ward is bordered by Tryon Street’s restaurants, entertainment venues, and office towers, historic Elmwood Cemetery, and bustling Trade Street. At its heart is picturesque Fourth Ward Park, a favorite gathering place for residents and visitors alike. Strolling along the neighborhood’s shaded streets, you’ll discover elegant Victorian homes adorned with intricate gingerbread trim, inviting front porches, and charming courtyard gardens that offer a glimpse into Charlotte’s past.

Whether you're drawn to historic properties, walkable city living, or the character you simply can’t replicate in newer construction, experiencing Fourth Ward in person is the best way to understand its appeal. Homes in this historic Charlotte district don’t come on the market often—and when they do, they tend to attract strong interest for exactly the reasons you’ll see on this tour.

Enjoying Every Day to Its Fullest!

Nina, kind of like the outdoor concerts, can get pretty warm sitting in the sun.  I haven't ever attended one of these.

Good morning Nina. There is something to be said about sitting on the lawn in the park under the stars watching a movie with a glass of wine. We attended a couple when we lived in downtown Chicago. Enjoy your day.

Ed Silva, 203-206-0754 good morning, Ed... these days, you need to drive a good hour out of Charlotte to find a drive-in movie, I'm afraid.

I love that 80s movies idea. Those are three of my favorites from the time. Back to the Future was brilliant.

What a fantastic community event, Nina! Outdoor movie nights are such a perfect way to bring the neighborhood together and enjoy a summer evening under the stars. That June lineup of 80s classics is absolutely spectacular, and you can't beat free admission and free popcorn. This really highlights what makes living in the Fourth Ward so special. Thank you for sharing the schedule and the helpful parking tips!

Gwen Fowler SC Lakes & Mountains 864-710-4518 hi Gwen... as I just said to Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty I've not ever seen a single movie that's being featured this summer. Then again, I rarely go to movies... I actually went to movies more often in Paris than I ever did in the USA.

Kathy Streib hi Kathy... growing up in NY City I never saw a drive-in movie until I was 19 years old. And even after that I don't think I've been to a drive-in more than two or three times in my life. Just never lived where they would be accessible.
