My second home away from home, Galveston, TX, is another great place to be for the upcoming 4th of July! The island will be in full celebration mode to say Happy 250th birthday to the land of the free. What better place to watch fireworks than over the Gulf of America!

Insider Tips for 4th of July:
🎆 For the parade - get your spot early! This is a jam-packed event! Bring your chairs, your umbrella, snacks, and beverages, and plan to be there a while. The parade begins at 6 p.m.
🎆 The fireworks over the Gulf will not disappoint! Again, find your preferred location (the higher you can be, the better) and plan on camping out there before the show. Because this is an island, you will be able to watch several shows at once. Many of the different resorts and neighborhoods have their own shows. The island will be LIT!
🎆 Make restaurant reservations early! The island will be packed, so if you have a favorite place to eat, make those reservations today!
🎆 The Strand is the historic district on Galveston Island. Many people don't realize that, aside from the beach, there is a pristine historic area. You will want to make time to spend some time down there shopping and exploring.
