If that didn't make you laugh then you may want to check your pulse. 😄

During my recent visit to Milwaukee I was surprised at what avid bird watchers my daughter and her husband are. When I was in my mid twenties watching birds was the farthest thing from my mind.

Did you know that there is an app available for your phone that can identify birds by their song? I learned that on my trip as well.

Tina and Jon have several bird feeders outside their picture window that keeps their cat, Shoko, very entertained. It kept me entertained at times as well.

Back at home I had the opportunity to photograph a baby robin who got kicked out of the nest and was terrified to try out it's new wings.

I did end up getting to close and he flew about 30' to another seemingly safe location. I'm pretty sure  he had that flying thing down in short order.

Do you enjoy the cartoons written by my son (Timmothy N. Timm) which I use as a springboard to write my daily posts? His strip, Titus & Philemon, has run in two newspapers for years as well as being printed in my blog every day. Titus & Philemon (pronounced Phi - Lee -Man) are guinea pigs. Their owner is Joe. Timmothy has never repeated a joke/comic strip in the 12 years he has been writing it. He has never copied another strip, such as Peanuts or Garfield. You can follow Timmothy on FB as Titus & Philemon and you can also check him out on Instagram as Instagram.com/titus and philemon/ .For Timmothy's website type timmtimmothy.com into your browser. I tried to put it in a link here but it refuses to work. Do NOT put anything in front of timmtimmothy.com or it will not work.

Hi Bob,
My brother and late sister-in-law are avid bird watchers. He can identify a bird song without an app. He does, however, put his phone out on the deck for 30 minutes every morning to capture how many different birds are singing. That's pretty cool. I wonder if it is the same app. It's Merlin Bird ID

This is a true story...my mom was married twice (2nd time to my dad), on her first wedding day, as she left the church a bird flew over and landed a splat directly in her freshly done hair. Based on the marriage it was not good luck.

That certainly sounds like an omen to me Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty . At least she got it right the second time. 😊

Good Saturday morning, Bob. I did not know there was an app to identify birds by their songs.

Carol just used it to see what is chirping in our back yard a minute ago Roy Kelley and it identified a Robin and a Starling.

Hi Bob... I'd be afraid my cat would crash through a window to get at any birds he sees on our property! Of course there's an app to identify bird songs... isn't there an app for everything these days?

When I saw the cartoon, I was reminded of a quote I once heard:
Birdie, birdie in the sky,
Why you do that to my eye?
Gosh,  I'm glad cows can't fly.

Hi Bob- don't know if you know this, but Larry and I love our birds. We monitor several bluebirds boxes. In fact, the chicks here should be fledging soon.

YES I do know that Kathy Streib it it is with that knowledge that I was inspired to write the post. I LOVE your bird box reports. ❤️

I'd say that is a blessing George Souto BUT my 100 year old uncle has been making toasts most of his life about "May the blue bird of happiness drop it's blessing upon your head". 🐤

That one gave me a good grin, Bob "RealMan" Timm, and I loved the way you pulled me right into the moment with those birds and that brave little robin. It’s funny how these small scenes sneak up on us and brighten the day, and your story did just that. Thanks for sharing something that felt so real and easy to picture.
