Please Help! Looking For A Baltimore Home

Looking for Something Special up to $750k

I have a buyer relocating to Baltimore from out of state who hopes to purchase a home within the next couple of months. He is searching for a property with character, substance, and a setting that feels established and serene.

His ideal home would be an older, stately residence- think center hall colonials, stone homes, classic architecture, and quality craftsmanship that has stood the test of time. At the same time, he also appreciates exceptional modern design. He would consider a striking contemporary home featuring stone, glass, or concrete elements if it offers the right setting and style.

One thing is non-negotiable: he is looking for a "leafy" neighborhood. Mature trees, winding roads, wooded views, and a sense of privacy and tranquility are far more important than new construction or cookie-cutter communities. He wants a neighborhood with personality and a connection to nature.

Preferred areas include both Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Neighborhoods with historic charm, architectural interest, and established landscapes would be especially appealing. Some areas include Roland Park, Homeland, Guilford, parts of Mount Washington, Ruxton, Riderwood, Greenspring Valley, certain sections of Lutherville, and even some of the older Pikesville neighborhoods where the homes were built to last.

The challenge will be finding the combination of wood-burning masonry fireplace + minimal rehab + leafy setting + under $750,000, but those homes do exist.

If you know of a home that fits this description, even if it is not yet on the market, I would love to hear from you. Sometimes the perfect match is found through a conversation before a sign ever goes up.

Margaret this Buyer even though he has some specific must haves, he seems to be very flexible on styles of homes.

I agree! It's great that the buyer is flexible with home styles despite having specific must-haves. This opens up more options in their search.

I bet I know what's going to be on next week's radio call, if that perfect home hasn't been found yet!

Hi Kat Palmiotti

🙃It was on this past Sunday's show, and I got a call for a house that had everything we asked for except the location.
