20th ActiveRain Anniversary Song
After twenty years on ActiveRain, I’ve come to realize that sometimes the best things in life are the ones we don’t plan. They develop naturally, similar to a thriving community garden!
20th ActiveRain Anniversary Song
Recently, I came across Bill Spears’ post about the impact of ActiveRain; it triggered a lot of thoughts.
Sure, it’s a blogging platform and a hub for real estate and marketing knowledge. However, it's much more than that! It's a place where friendships flourish.
Experienced agents provide guidance to recruits, while referrals travel across state lines, creating lasting connections.
We take the time to acknowledge our achievements, support each other through challenges, and uplift one another with genuine encouragement, creating a strong sense of community and camaraderie along the way!
As I thought about this, I saw some interesting comments coming in:
- Bill mentioned, “We don’t have an alma mater to sing…”
- Kat suggested, “Maybe we need an ode to AR that we can recite…”
- Lorrie Semler chimed in, “We need an AR theme song!”
And then Bill humorously replied, “My best musical skill is playing the radio.”
And just like that, it became clear: we needed a song!
I understand how wonderful our community is, so I began writing.
Excited, I shared my progress with my friend Carol Williams , who had previously turned one of my favorite posts, 'My Lee,' into a beautiful song.
Just as I was having my lightbulb moment, I discovered that Carol was also contemplating an ActiveRain song! Great minds think alike, right? I sent her what I had created, and together we reached new heights. Carol took the words and wove them into music!
This is the essence of ActiveRain: one person plants a seed, the other waters it, and suddenly you have a flourishing garden of ideas, much like Wanda’s garden!
For twenty years, ActiveRain has focused on teaching, mentoring, and inspiring one another, thanks to our amazing members who offer support, insights, and a bit of humor when we need it most. We created this song because a single spark inspired our creativity, not out of obligation!
Thank you, Liz and Bill Spear for inspiring this journey, and thank you, Carol Williams, for being on the same wavelength. And to all the extraordinary ActiveRain members who make this community truly special!
