Zoom Call of June 23, 2026 Roundtable Discussion

The platform is into its 20th year and for all that it has been to many, there is always the concern as to who will set the stage for the next decade.

Of importance and discussed on the Zoom call is the involvement of newer members. The presumption is that all know the basics of blogging. If not, then they would be encouraged to reach out to members with experience close to them and chat and if not, reach out to the members with the orange Ambassador frames.

ActiveRain was once a great learning platform and even now, many have gotten very familiar with use of AI to enhance their blogs and also for proper images to make the blog posts more readable.

During the call, it was also suggested that maybe a weekly feature post by a new member to offer further encouragement and also an invite to meet at the Zoom calls.

So many of the longer tenured members of ActiveRain have developed strong friendships, and 2 in particular, Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400  and Carol Williams  cross country members that would most likely have never met except for the platform were discussing an ActiveRain song. Jointly, they created the lyrics, and through their learnings with AI got it put to music.

Here are the lyrics:

The Rain Keeps Falling?

An ActiveRain 20th  Anniversary Song

Verse 1

Twenty years of stories shared
Questions asked because we cared
From every state and every town,
We built each other up, not down.

A simple post, a helping hand
Advice from someone who understands
New friendships formed across the miles
One kind comment, a thousand smiles.

Chorus

The rain keeps falling, the ideas grow
Through every season we've come to know.
We're teachers, learners along the way,
Helping each other every single day.

Through featured posts and lessons learned,
Through every challenge that we've turned,
Into something bright, something true
‘ActiveRain, ... because of you.

Verse 2

Zoom rooms buzzing Tuesday afternoons,
Sharing victories, changing tunes.
New agents learning what to do,
Veterans cheering others through.

Referrals sent from coast to coast,
Celebrating every closing post
Encouragement when times were tough
A simple 'you've got this’ was enough.

Chorus

The rain keeps falling, the ideas grow
Through every season we've come to know.
We're teachers, learners along the way,
Helping each other every single day.

Through featured posts and lessons learned,
Through every challenge that we've turned,
Into something bright, something true
‘ActiveRain, because of you.

Bridge
Some came searching for a lead,
Some came simply with a need
To understand this changing game
And none of us would leave the same.

We've laughed together, shared our tears
Walked beside each other through the years
More than blogs upon a screen,
We're the heart behind ActiveRain

Final Chorus

The Rain keeps falling, still we rise
With hopeful hearts and open eyes
Twenty years and counting on this road we've paved,
Through every post we've shared and saved.

So, here's to friendships old and new
To all the dreams we've helped come true
The lessons, laughter, every refrain
Long live the spirit of ActiveRain

Outro
One more post before the day is through
Someone out there learns from you
Twenty years ... and still the same,
We're better together in the Rain.
